Kerri Mauney is the 7th grade assistant principal. Mrs. Mauney graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX with a Bachelor of Music degree. She received her master's degree from Stephen F. Austin in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Mauney spent 13 years as a choir teacher at the High School and Junior High/Middle School levels. She worked at West Orange Stark High School in Orange, TX and Mayde Creek Jr. High in Katy, TX before coming to Cy-Fair and working at Arnold Middle School. In 2008, she moved from the classroom to Student Services to work as the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coordinator. Then in 2011, she opened Salyards Middle School as the 7th grade assistant principal. In her spare time, Mrs. Mauney is a bass singer in Sweet Adelines, an organization that sings and performs acappella in the barbershop style. Shannon Spear is the 8th grade assistant principal at Salyards Middle School. Mr. Spear was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing. He also graduated from Pfieffer University with a Master of Arts in Teaching. He then obtained his Principal Certification from Sam Houston State University. This is his 10th year in education. He’s taught 1st through 6th grade during his time as a classroom teacher. In addition, he has coached 8th grade football since coming to Salyards. In his spare time, Mr. Spear enjoys spending time with his family, watching and attending sporting events.
Sarah Hubble is the 6th grade assistant principal. Ms. Hubble is a native of Cypress, TX. She grew up in Cy-Fair ISD, graduating from Cypress Creek High School. She went to Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Exercise Sports Science and Special Education. She then received her Masters in Education Administration from Sam Houston State University. This is her 15th year in education; her 12th year in Cy-Fair. Ms. Hubble taught Special Education and coached Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Soccer. After teaching, Ms. Hubble spent two years as the Special Education Administrator at Langham Creek High School. This is her 7th year at Salyards Middle School as an Assistant Principal. In her spare time, Ms. Hubble enjoys spending time with family and friends and shopping for anything and everything.
